The Portrait Session

Whether we’re working with horses, dogs, humans (or all of the above) the process of the portrait session is nearly the same. Learn about the steps involved here!

  • Step 1

    Get in touch! Simply reach out through the contact page. From here, we’ll then…

  • Step 2

    At this point, Samantha will send you an in-depth questionnaire to gather all the important information. We’ll also discuss locations, timings, as well as dates, and end goals here before moving on to…

  • Step 3

    Creation. At this point, the creation begins! We have our session and make some magic - sessions are fun, relaxed and just as memorable as the images themselves!

    Within creation is also the retouching and post-production where each image is carefully treated to my exclusive post-production process resulting in gorgeous images you’re going to love!

    At the end of the creation, we’ll then move into…

  • Step 4

    The Reveal. (Easily the most exciting part of the process.) After patiently (or not so patiently!) waiting, you’ll receive an online gallery of fully edited images to reveal the artwork.

    You will have the opportunity to pick your favourites and order products. Deciding which images to order can be tough, so I’m always happy to make suggestions and provide guidance.

  • Step 5

    If you order digital images, you’ll receive an email with instructions on how to download your images straight to your inbox.

    If you order physical artwork, the artwork order is passed to my printing partners within North America where they are meticulously created based on your request.

    Your artwork is then packaged and delivered with great care to your door.

Photography Sessions

 
 

Session fee $400

The session fee includes:

  • a 1 - 1.5 hour personalized photography session with Samantha Mirzaee,

  • up to 3 animals from the same household,

  • a $250 credit towards products (physical or digital), and

  • a fully edited private online gallery of proofs from which to select your products.

  • The Gallery Frame

Printed on Kodak or Fuji professional-grade archival paper for increased color gamut, excellent skin tones, sharpness and brilliant image quality. These are the highest quality archival prints that have a longevity of 100 years in typical display conditions and 200 years in dark storage.

  • The Web-Sized Digital

    Your artwork deserves a place on your walls but I know that you love sharing your images with the ones you love online. Share your images on your favourite social media platforms with files specifically formatted to load quickly while preserving their beautiful detail and high quality.

    Purchase your web-sized downloads directly from your online gallery and receive them right away - because I know waiting is the hardest part!
